Eating Paleo 80%?????

evolutionThis is a great article espousing the benefits of the Paleo diet
but also explaining why the author does not follow it 100%.

"Personally, I am grateful for the popularization of the paleo lifestyle as it has brought to our attention that the food pyramid is wrong. Yes, it was created by the agricultural industry with simply their own interest in mind. "

"Here are some of the facts that the paleo lifestyle has helped support, and as a result, bust the top food myths of the last five decades "
1. There is in fact no requirement for wholegrains, when fibre can be found in higher quantities in    fruit and vegetables
2.  Pasteurised cow’s milk is devoid of nutrients as they are destroyed by the heat treatment
3.  Saturated fat does not cause heart disease
4.  Low cholesterol is not an indication of health
5.  Eggs do not cause heart disease
***This portion of the blog post gives you links to articles which support her hypothesizes.

The article goes on to explain which items she eats which are NOT considered paleo such as feta cheese, chickpeas and rice malt syrup.

The author makes great points and it is worth a read for those who are struggling keeping to a STRICT Paleo lifestyle.
