WATER-DRINK IT!

FROM MYDAILYMOMENT.COM:
If you've heard it once, you've heard it a million times. So water you waiting for? There's no denying the benefits of good, old-fashioned H2O. The ultimate diet drink, water is an all-natural solution that contains no fat, no calories and no sugar. Experts recommend consuming 6 to 8 glasses of water or the equivalent to 64 ounces of water a day. The body comprises 55 to 75 percent water, and it always needs to be replenished. So why is water the go-to drink for anyone looking to lose weight and improve their health?
  • Water aids in digestion, assists in the excretion of waste, improves skin health and acts as an appetite suppressant. In addition, water plays an important role in weight loss. Without water, there is no way to eliminate the by-products of fat breakdown. It also keeps the body hydrated. Dehydration can leave you feeling listless and exhausted. Signs of dehydration include excessive thirst, fatigue, headache, dry mouth, muscle weakness and dizziness to name a few. When you exercise, it's equally important to replenish your water supply. A good rule of thumb is to drink ½ to 1 cup of fluid for every 15 minutes of exercise. Also consume 1 to 2 cups of water before starting your workout. Even if you feel like you've had enough water, keep drinking. Some more food for thought… Water can also help keep those cravings at bay. Oftentimes, people think they're hungry when in reality they're thirsty; the body has a difficult time differentiating between the two.
