Protein Powders-Do Crossfitters Need Them??

I had the opportunity to hear Loren Cordain speak on the Paleo Diet and its implications on our health and well being. One of the subjects that caught my ear was the question on protein powders. I think that generally, at least at Crossfit New England, the crossfit athlete consumes whey protein powder. Dr. Cordain suggested that he would not recommend whey powder because of its relationship to dairy. He suggested egg proteins as an alternative.
