f Why You Are Never Too Old For Crossfit!!!!!: CrossFit took Gyms by Storm, and it's High-Jumped its way Right into 2013 as one of the Most Popular Workout Choices.

This Workout Can Be For the Young and the Old!

I have been a Crossfitter for a relatively short time. I have been "working out" in one form or another for over 25 years. I was the general manager of a "traditional" gym for over 10 years and that afforded me the opportunity to work out every day. I did the basics like Lifecycle, Stairmaster, etc., for over an hour a day and I lifted approximately 5-6 days a week. Which means I have an exercise experience to compare with Crossfit.
The purpose of this blog is to share and document my experiences as a relatively new but "older" Crossfitter, and offer tips to potential Crossfitters on what to expect.
I will be chronicling my gym or "box" experiences as best I can. Hopefully my stories will find other older Crossfitters or those thinking of trying Crossfit. Most of all I hope to convince whoever is reading this blog that YOU TOO CAN DO IT! Anybody can!
Without a doubt, Crossfit offers the most satisfying and fulfilling workout I have ever done.
PS-I am lucky to be a member of Crossfit New England-2nd place finisher in the 2010 Crossfit Games Affiliate Competition, home of the 1st place finisher in the Masters Competition, and the 8th best woman finisher, IN THE WORLD! How lucky am I!! UPDATE For 2011: 1st Place Affiliate team in the 2011 Crossfit Games. Masters Competitors who were 4th,14th, and 15th in the WORLD! UPDATE For 2012: 12th Place Affiliate team (in the world!). Masters who finished 1st, 9th and 14th (in the world!)

"With every new year comes new trends. whether it be in fashion, music or workout styles. For 2012, the workout style of CrossFit took gyms by storm, and it's high-jumped its way right into 2013 as one of the most popular workout choices. "

**"Anyone can do it. There's a guy here who's 70, and he does it," said Virgil Askren, a CrossFit student of eight months. "You just do it to the best of your ability. All the coaches are really good about scaling it down or modifying it, and making sure it's doable for you. "

**"Coe says the hardest part of the class is walking through the door, but she says once you start and begin to see results and build bonds, you'll never want to quit."
